DR. MONIKA PAJEK

Dr. Monika Pajek graduated in 2008 from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. She came to Canada from Poland and joined our growing team in 2009, initially as a technician while working on obtaining a Canadian Veterinary Licence. In May 2013, she was granted a restricted license from the College of Veterinarians of Ontario and started training under Dr. Davinder Jassal’s supervision. In January 2015, she moved to the position of full-time veterinarian after fulfilling all the necessary licensure requirements. Dr. Monika’s professional interests focus on internal medicine and nutrition to involve pet owners in every step of our patient’s life. A true bird lover, Dr. Monika enjoys long bird-watching hikes. During her years as a technician, she rescued a couple of abandoned baby birds, eventually releasing them back into the wild.

JOYCE
JOYCE

OFFICE MANAGER

As far back as she could remember, Joyce has always been interested in pursuing a career in the veterinary field. Her first experience was working in a veterinary clinic during her co-operative placement in high school. After high school, she worked in a veterinary hospital, where she acquired more knowledge in the field. Since 2002, Joyce has been a valued employee here at the Eglinton-Hwy 10 Clinic. In 2006, she obtained the position of practice manager. Joyce’s home has become a safe haven for animals. Her passion and nurturing towards animals is definitely an asset to this clinic and our clients. Joyce’s ambitions for the future are to continue her education and further her career here at the Eglington-Hwy 10 Veterinary Clinic.

Heidi also enjoys reading, music, and dancing. Her favourite thing to do is spend time with her family, especially her husband Billy and her grandchildren.

Melissa joined our team as a Veterinary Technician student from Sheridan College in 2018 after completing her Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph. She took her licensing exam in 2020 and became a fully Registered Veterinary Technician in September 2020. She has always loved animals and has always strived to do her best to help any animal in need while building customer satisfaction. She has fostered and trained a service dog in the past and hopes to continue to do so in her spare time. Her furry family consists of multiple dogs, cats, and a rabbit. During her spare time, she loves cuddling with her cat, taking her dogs on hikes, going to the dog park, or furthering her knowledge via continuing education credits. She hopes in the future to be more well-known and incorporated with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT).
